  • The Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre at the Conservatorium Hotel

The chic Conservatorium Hotel in Museumplein, is at the center of the fashion and museum district of Amsterdam embracing tourists and locals alike to enjoy their facilities. In this beautifully designed hotel you can find The Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre, offering a new concept in wellbeing and relaxation in a soothing space dedicated to rejuvenating body and mind.

Akasha is based on the four basic elements of nature that make life possible – Earth, water, fire and air. Divided into these four areas, each are devoted to the essential elements you would find in a luxury spa, including a gym, beautiful pool, relaxing sauna, Jacuzzi and Hammam, various beauty treatments such as body wraps and body scrubs, unique spa treatments including Watsu massage, organic beverages and food and a wide range of yoga, pilates and holistic activities.

‘Earth’ is an organic bar and lounge area with a menu designed in collaboration with a nutritionist. The organic bar is dedicated to providing fresh organic food, herbal teas, energizing drinks and juices that can be enjoyed in the relaxation area.

‘Water’ combines mood lighting, sound, music, and aroma therapies to add to the relaxed ambience in the main spa area and includes a private Hammam, lap pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. Marrying western and eastern practices, it also includes an exclusive bath (the only Watsu bath in Amsterdam) for the Watsu massage. The receptionist are happy to inform you about the wide variety of treatments. We tried one of the signature treatments the Hot Sheashell Massage (€140 for 75 minutes), which is highly recommended.

‘Fire’ contains the spacious gym and fitness area equipped with cutting edge technology and the most up to date machines. You can also have a fitness plan tailored for you by one of the experienced personal trainers and instructors.

‘Air’ is a calming and peaceful area for partaking in holistic classes including yoga, pilates, tai-chi and meditation classes. Private one on one sessions and personalized classes are also offered.

If you need a break from the hectic life in Amsterdam then the Akasha Spa is the place to go. The Akasha Spa feels like a beautiful oasis in the middle of Amsterdam, where you feel completely reborn afterwards. Guests of the Conservatorium Hotel and members can access the Akasha Spa every day of the week from 6.30 to 23.00. If you are not a hotel guest or a member you can still enjoy the spa by purchasing an all access day pass for €75. You can also sign up for a day trial on the website http://www.conservatoriumhotel.com/spa-and-gym/

The Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Center is located at the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, Van Baerlestraat 27.

Can I just say what a relief to find someone who really understands what they’re
talking about online. You certainly know how to bring an issue to light
and make it important. A lot more people should check this out and
understand this side of your story. I can’t believe you’re not more
popular because you definitely have the gift.
