About Amsterdam Art Weekend

4 days. Over 100 events. About 50 venues throughout the city. That is what the Art Weekend in Amsterdam is all about!

The event takes place in the Dutch capital every November and promotes the local creative scene and the authors working in the Netherlands.

What is the most fascinating for visitors is that the Art Weekend is not limited to exhibitions. In addition to those, the program includes various performances, multimedia displays, film screenings, special tours, lectures, workshops and networking events.

Everything to entertain visitors and provide the most unusual overview of the Dutch contemporary art scene!

While the Art Weekend is a great opportunity for art lovers, it is just as good for the featured artists. As Amsterdam Art Weekend doesn’t only focus on professionals, young rising talents get their chance to step out in the limelight too.

Practical Info

During the four days of the Art Weekend (which is 24-27 Nov 2016), more than 100 events will be held all over Amsterdam. That means if you are interested in attending some of them, it’s better to plan your Art Weekend in advance.

Finally, visit Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, which is the Weekend’s Festival Center. The staff at the Information Desk will be happy to answer all your questions and give a piece of advice.

The Info Desk works from 11:00 till 19:00 on November 24-26 and from 11:00 till 15:00 on November 27.
