  • Dam tot Dam Loop

    Dam tot Dam Loop’ or the ‘Dam to Dam run’ is back again this year on the third weekend of September. The annual road running competition is a 10 mile race from Amsterdam to Zaandam attracting all kinds of runners from all over the globe. Starting as a fun run back in 1985, the following year elite runners were asked to participate. The event is organised jointly by Stichting Sportevenementen Le Champion, AV Atos and AV Aalsmeer.

    For the second time in a row the run has been awarded the International Association of Athletics Federation Silver Label for road races. This is awarded to races that are of a high level of quality in regards to the organisers, course measurement, safety, medical standards and media services.

    In addition to the main race there are also shorter races for children to participate in and business team competitions. You can also download an app by ASICS that helps runners prepare, run and recover for their race. It includes route strategy, nutritional information, goals, lap timer, GPS. Recovery plans and more.

    Dam tot Dam Loop begins on the 20th of September and finishes on the 21st. For more information visit www.damloop.nl/en
