Dining in a luxury restaurant is a pricey experience, but every rule has an exception. During the DiningCity Restaurant Week taking place from March 28th until April 14th, everyone gets a chance to visit some of the finest restaurants out there without spending a fortune on it.
The National Restaurant Week came to be exactly 10 years ago. Traditionally organized two times a year, it is a true paradise for budget-conscious foodies all over the country. From Breda to Groningen, from Amsterdam to Almelo, the Restaurant Week is “smashing prices”, making dining in luxury restaurants affordable.
The idea is simple. Every restaurant participating in the DiningCity Restaurant Week offers their surprise three-course dinner for a special price of €27,50. While the price is fixed and the same for all the restaurants, those with a Michelin Star charge additional €12,50, and restaurants on the TOP 250 list require a €2,00 supplement.
Needless to say, that is not even close to what you would usually spend on a three-course meal in a high-class restaurant.
With almost 100 restaurants participating in the DiningCity Restaurant Week in Amsterdam (over 600 in the Netherlands), it might be hard to make a choice. To help you out, AmsterDO spoke to Merel Poorthuis, the account manager at the organization.
Here are the TOP 10 restaurants Merel recommends to visit:
Finally, check out Ctaste for an unforgettable experience of dining in the dark, as well as Amsterdam Dinner Cruise to enjoy a delicious four-course dinner on a boat!
