The third edition of this multicolor art festival (KAT is the acronym for Kosmopolite Art Tour) will take place from June 23rd to 30th. Whether you’re addicted to graffitis or not, you just can’t miss fourty internationally renowned artists (MAC Crew from Paris, the Australian Vans the Omega, the Amsterdam Hugo “DHM” Mulder and so on), a wide range of side events such as the Kosmopolis Art Academy, expert talks and city tours on art and history.
On June 23rd the festival will start with the official opening and a market where young and up-coming artists will presents their works: crafts, artworks, prints and fashion.
The following days all the artists will collaborate to create a common project with ‘Amsterdam’s history of shipping and trade’ as the main theme, showing their skills, technics and style to the public by making live mural paintings all over the city. But there’s more: visitors will be involved too in super stunning workshops, creating their own artwork with light-painting tools or attending different courses such as stencil technique, spray-can art, illustration and so on. And if this is not enough you can be part of the audience which will determine through an interactive voting noise system who’s the paint-club battle’s winner, a live competition where two groups will compete for a ticket to Kosmopolite Paris 2013. Still not tired? Don’t worry, there’s the final night party in Roest!
