    Enjoy contemporary Mediterranean cuisine while taking in the stunning panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean at Mirandus restaurant in Algarve, Portugal. Located at the Boutique Hotel Vivenda Miranda, nestled on the beautiful sea cliffs above the Porto de Mós beach near Lagos, the restaurant offers a beautiful setting to enjoy a drink or meal in the sunshine or moonlight.     Open to both hotel guests and the public, Mirandus offers a changing tasting menu of three to five courses and an á la carte menu. Creating meals with locally sourced and organic produce is an important part of the restaurants fine dining menu. Whatever your dietary requirement might be Mirandus can cater for you with their comprehensive healthy and fully balanced menu selection. The restaurant works in collaboration with a local certified organic farm called Quinta Seis Marias to supply the organic and seasonal ingredients that provides the foundation of every meal at Mirandus.

    On the menu you can enjoy a thinly sliced beetroot Carpaccio marinated in a vanilla coriander vinaigrette with fried prawns and lime (€11), sautéed scallops in a flaky filo pastry on a pea purée drizzled with fragrant Saffron oil (€11.50), grilled juicy tiger prawns on aromatic basmati rice with glazed seasonal vegetables and melted herb butter (€28) or the traditional ‘Cataplana’ which is a typical Algarvian dish served in a copper pot consisting of pork, fish vegetables, tiger prawns and clams in a light and aromatic and flavoursome tomato, saffron and coriander broth (€25.50). For dessert, a mango parfait with sweet pineapple marinated in a spiced syrup (€9) or dark chocolate mousse with creamy avocado, dates and toasted cashews (€9). Each dish is served with decorative and edible flowers adding a special little touch to each dish.

    Whatever the occasion, Mirandus is a popular and worthy location to celebrate a special moment or occasion with its delicious food, classy restaurant and spectacular ocean views.

    Opening times are 7.30 to 13.00 for breakfast, 12.00 to 17.00 for Lunch and afternoon tea, and 19.00 to 22.30 for dinner. The restaurant remains open until midnight.
