Central Amsterdam can add a tropical restaurant to its extensive list of interesting places to go on 12 August. On this day Waterkant (Waterside) will open its doors but they’re organising Opo Oso (Open House) from 7 till 10 August so you can sample their amazing roti’s (chicken and vegetarian) and experience the atmosphere on their waterside terrace.
Waterkant is a temporary restaurant at Marnixstraat 246 where Q-Park is situated. It was inspired by the nicest bit of Paramaribo on the Surinam river. Like in Surinam, Waterkant lies in the city centre on the waterside and creates the ultimate place for relaxation. The menu features Surinamese classics like Parbo-bier, Roti and Saoto soup but also includes Angus burgers, grilled chicken and lobster.
