This weekend on the 11 and 12th of October Strawberry Earth Fair will turn Tolhuistuin into a sustainable Valhalla, offering the latest in sustainable fashion, design, film, food and more. The fair also showcases new start-ups, designers and brands including an exciting exhibition ‘Design of the Future’. Mette te Velde and Ikenna Azuike founded Starwberry Earth in 2009 to inspire people into a more sustainable attitude in all aspects of life.
The fair puts focus on creative people and industries that are inspired by sustainable ideas, which is why Strawberry Earth is the perfect platform to inspire people to have a more positive impact on the environment. Saturday and Sunday the expo ‘Design of the Future’ will be showing off the work of young talent in the fashion industry. On Saturday afternoon reserve a seat for the Talk show ‘The future of Fashion’ where fashion labels and international speakers will discuss sustainability and what that holds for the future of fashion.
On Saturday night ‘Dance, Dance, Dance’ will feature live music by international artists to dance the night away then on Sunday morning a much needed hangover breakfast will be on offer, serving up an organic buffet guaranteed to cure any hangover. Sunday afternoon will wind down with an essential film programme, in collaboration with The Tipping Point and IDFA, showing thought-provoking documentaries about the planet where speakers will also share their perspectives on sustainability.
If you wish to attend the fair tickets are €9 and can be purchased online. The film program, hangover breakfast and some workshops can be purchased separately. For more information visit www.strawberryearth.com/fair
