Gartine is a small cozy lunchroom that has gained a lot of popularity over the past few years. Located right in the center of Amsterdam near the Spui in a 16th century listed building, it makes it the perfect spot to enjoy an afternoon of high tea. High Tea runs from 14.00 to 17.00 and can be chosen from a list of 4 packages including Hartig (€15.95), Classic (€18.50), Large (€20.95) and Luxe (€24.75). You will be served delicious quiches, soups sandwiches with savory fillings, profiteroles, cakes, bonbons, macaroons, sorbet and so much more. All menus are served with a large pot of tea and prices are per person.
Due to their popularity it would be wise to make a reservation a week in advance. Also organic food lovers will be happy to hear that all of their products are directly from their own garden.

Hotel Die Port van Cleve have a lovely Royal high tea selection, located in a historic 4 star hotel and centrally located near the Royal Palace. The hotel is heritage listed and was previously the first Heineken Brewery to be opened. So if you want to have your High Tea in a place with a bit of history and elegance, Hotel Die Port Van Cleve is the place to go. For €22.50 p.p, you can choose from a range of sandwiches including, smoked Norwegian Salmon and horseradish cream, marinated cucumber, egg salad, Hay Smoked ham with mustard and roast beef. Sweet items are also available with Crème brulee, Scones, Muffins, Chocolate Brownies, petit fours, Danish pastry, biscuits and butter Bonbons. You can choose an unlimited pot with various teas such as, Lapsang Souchong Tea, Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea, Earl Grey and Prince of Wales, or if you’re feeling a little cheeky, champagne is also available.
They also serve gluten-free afternoon tea and high tea for diabetics. You will want to make a reservation in advance.

There are several locations for De Bakkerswinkel throughout Amsterdam and the Netherlands, which has lent to it becoming a household name. De Bakkerswinkel also caters for wedding parties, company outings, business meetings and birthdays. If you make a reservation they will also help you pick out a High Tea menu to suit your group. Choose from three different menus including Bakery Sweets Tea (€15.95) Late Afternoon Tea (€29.50), Old Bakery High Tea (€21.50) and Summertime Tea (€19.25). Each has the basics of high tea with scones with clotted cream and jam, small homemade cakes and friandise. For the more expensive options you usually also receive a quiche, a selection of finger sandwiches, soup, fresh fruit salads, wine and orange juice. You can choose from Mini High Tea Sweet (€8.50) which offers a great selection of homemade cakes served with a pot of tea, Mini High Tea Hartig (€9.80) offers a delicious variety of sandwiches with whole meal and sourdough bread with a pot of tea, then lastly you can choose the Royal High Tea (€25.00) offering homemade soup followed by a platter of whole meal and sourdough sandwiches, a selection of fresh pies and cakes all served with a big pot of tea and a glass of champagne.
