    Dutch Theatre Festival

    Taking place every September, the Dutch Theatre Festival presents the best theatre productions of the season, handing out numerous awards. Some of the shows at the festival are ‘Language No Problem’, so non Dutch-speaking audiences do not have to miss out. See the following links for the program and locations.

    Amsterdam Fringe Festival

    7-17 September / various locations

    With a varied 10-day theater and dance program, the Amsterdam Fringe Festival features the most bizarre, thought-provoking and unorthodox productions by talented undiscovered artists. 50% of the productions are certified as ‘Language No Problem’. See here for the detailed program.

    Klassiek op het Amstelveld 

    15-17 September / Amstelveld

     

    Klassiek op het Amstelveld is a family-friendly outdoor festival that takes place on the Amstelveld square in mid-September. Featuring both established and up-and-coming talents, the festival presents an impressive classical music show along with open-air cinema on Friday and education programs on Sunday. The entry is free.

    Dam tot Damloop

    16-17 September / various locations

    ‘Dam tot Damloop’ or the ‘Dam to Dam run’ is back again this year on the third weekend of September. The annual road running competition is a 10 mile race from Amsterdam to Zaandam attracting all kinds of runners from all over the globe. If 10 miles is too much for you, there is a 4 mile version of Dam tot Dam Loop too.

    IJ Hallen Flea Market

    16-17 September / IJ-Hallen

    IJ Hallen is the biggest and the most extraordinary flea market in Europe that sells all kinds of things! Stock up on second-hand clothes and shoes. ‘Dig up’ a vintage bag or an antique lamp that costs less than a cup of coffee. Find everything you’re looking for and even more!

    Live At Amsterdamse Bos

    10 July – 15 September / Bostheater

    Live At Amsterdamse Bos is a series of outdoor concerts and theater performances taking place during the summer season at one of the Amsterdam hidden gems – the Bostheater. The theater is in Dutch, but music has no language barriers! See the line-up and full program on the link above.
