Welcome to our weekly Amsterdam guide! Let’s look at what the Dutch capital has to offer!
Roze Filmdagen is an annual LGBTQ film festival featuring a wide range of documentaries, shorts and feature films missing in the regular cinematic offerings. Roze Filmdagen has been held in Amsterdam since 1996 and takes place in Het Ketelhuis, the arthouse cinema at Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek.
Is there something in your life that you would like to let go of? Save the date for Floating Memories and join hundreds of Amsterdammers ready to do the same thing. About 1,000 people are going to the Sloterplas on the 19th of March to write down their nagging thoughts on water lanterns and watch those floating away, once and for all.
Head of the River is the name of an annual 8km race held in the Dutch capital on the river Amstel. Join the race yourself until March 15th (entry fees are €60 for four people and €75 for eight) or come as a spectator and enjoy this unusual show from the sidewalk.
Come to try the best and most delicious street food from all corners of the world while treasure hunting at the flea market. NeighbourFood & Flea Market takes place monthly at the Westergasfabriek, both inside and outside its halls. The entrance is free.
