Welcome to our weekly Amsterdam guide – the very first one this year! Let’s look at what the Dutch capital has to offer!
January 6
Light My Ride is a part of Amsterdam Light Festival that is going to bring even more light and joy to town. The participants decorate their bikes (skates, skateboard, longboard, you name it!) to form one large rolling work of light art. The ride ends with a competition for the most creative vehicles and a party. Both the ride and the party are free. Follow Light My Ride on Facebook to stay tuned for all the news.
January 7-8
IJ Hallen is the biggest and the most extraordinary flea market in Europe that sells all kinds of things! Go treasure hunting and stock up on second-hand clothes and shoes. ‘Dig up’ a vintage bag or an antique lamp that costs less than a cup of coffee. Find everything you’re looking for and more…
January 8
Imagine yourself sitting in an open-air hot tub, with a drink in your hand, listening to live music and staring at beautiful views of Amsterdam. Sounds good, doesn’t it? And what is even more surprising – the event is free. All you need to do is come early enough to get a spot!
January 8
The best movies of 2016 are coming back on the big screen one more time! From The Revenant to Nocturnal Animals, from Room to Arrival, re-watch the TOP 10 of the last year together with Cineville.
Finally, don’t forget about the Dutch Ice Sculpture Festival and the ice rink on Museumplein open until February 5.
Seems like that’s all for this week! Did you like our Amsterdam guide? Then stay tuned for more: we promise to create the similar one every week!
