Great news – the roof of NEMO Science Museum is now open daily until 21:00! Moreover, every Thursday from 17:30 to 21:00, visitors can enjoy live music performed by musicians from the Conservatorium. This week, NEMO invited Jeanne Rouwendaal, one of the winners of De Grote Prijs van Nederland 2014. The roof of NEMO is free to visit and open to everyone.
30 June / Nieuwmarkt
The new deli and lifestyle market on the Nieuwmarkt takes place every last Friday of the month. Stop by to buy groceries for the week, try the delicious street food and treat yourself to a piece of freshly baked cake. The entrance is free. Visit the New Market FB page for more information.
1 July / Riekerhaven
Verknipt is an Amsterdam-based party organization focusing on electronic music: from deep house to techno and everything in between. Verknipt throws several amazing parties throughout the year, and next on the agenda is Verknipt Festival followed by an official afterparty.
1-2 July / Erasmuspark
This weekend, the Erasmuspark will be filled with fun activities presented by WESTwaARTS, a family-friendly festival by Podium Mozaïek. Expect theater performances, workshops for children, dance, music and lots of tasty food and drinks. The entry is free.
2 July / Volkshotel
Imagine yourself sitting in an open-air hot tub, with a drink in your hand, listening to live music and staring at beautiful views of Amsterdam. Sounds good, doesn’t it? And what is even more surprising – the event is free. All you need to do is to come early enough to get a spot! By the way, this week Volkshotel celebrates its 3rd birthday. You are very welcome to join on July 1st!
2 June / Westergasfabriek
Held on the first Sunday of every month at Amsterdam’s lively Westergasfabriek, the Sunday Market is the place to be on Sunday afternoon. Offering a chance to shop for art, fashion, design and food at the same time, this beloved market brings together all foodies, rummagers and art lovers of the Dutch capital. The entrance is free.
