Welcome to our weekly Amsterdam guide! Let’s look at what the Dutch capital has to offer!
The increasing number of men wearing moustaches marks the month of Movember in Amsterdam. Growing their moustaches and beards for the whole month, Amsterdammers contribute to the worldwide movement for men’s health, raising awareness of prostate cancer. Don’t miss the Movember events held in the city throughout the month!
The day when Sinterklaas arrives in town is something every child in Amsterdam is looking forward to. Every November, in the middle of the month, this white-bearded man in red clothes returns to the city from his home in Spain, marking the start of the weeks-long festive fun! Welcome him to town and join the parade in the city center!
Starting from this week, the emotional biblical opera ‘Jephtha’ hits the stage at the Dutch National Opera & Ballet. ‘Jephtha’ tells the story of a man who has to sacrifice his beloved daughter because of his rushed promise to God.
The well-known ballet and dance company Introdans celebrates its 45th anniversary and welcomes everyone to share this moment with them! On November 7, Introdans is going to perform ‘Tutti’, which will be everything the company is known for – a passionate performance and a fresh approach to good old ballet.
