Wondered why you should get yourself pumped up and excited for the new hip-and-coming event of the fall? Because it has everything to please your senses: with a selection of the tastiest wines from all over the …world, a line-up of DJs and entertainers and delicious food!
The Bacchus Wijnfestival will open its doors on the 5th, 6th and 7th of September 2014 in “het Amsterdamse bos”. It is meant for everyone looking for a festival starring more than 250 exotic wines from all corners of the world, every conceivable mobile kitchen, DJs and live acts.
The perfect combination
As the world’s number one festival country, the Netherlands has the highest standard when it comes to parties out in the open. Bacchus Wijnfestival combines this standard with good wine and good food. Thanks to the collaboration of ten well-known wine traders from Amsterdam and its surroundings, there will be more than 250 wines available for tasting.
The wine traders
Wonder who will show up?The participating wine traders are: B.J. de Logie, Bolomey Wijnimport, Chabrol Wines, De Wijnschuur, Henri Bloem, Okhuysen, Sprezzatura, Vindict Wine, Vleck wijnen and Wijnkoperij de Hermitage.
The best of both worlds
Tasty wine is a great thing on its own, but it should be accompanied by that special festival spirit. To achieve this, an eclectic mix of bands and DJ’s will perform live on stage, with beats ranging from raw blues to relaxing house and from funky hip hop to roaring saxophones. The “Het Wijnlokaal”, will complete your experience by telling you exciting stories about wine and food you would have not expected. Mobile kitchens will be at your service to provide sensational tastes to go hand in hand with the wine. Last but not least, expert sommeliers will show their magic at making everyone familiar with the world of wine and spice from novice to connoisseur.
The organization aims to maintain its Dutch festival standards by addressing specific aspects with particular attention to detail. The wine will be poured in real glasses; there will be no cacophony of sound sources and parents are free to bring their children along … for FREE!
